Responsibilities
* Reports to the Manager of Pharmacy Benefits and other delegated pharmacist.
* Facilitates the operations of the Pharmacy Care Management Department by organizing, improving, and implementing pharmacy benefit management policies and procedures.
* Major areas of responsibility include oversight of the claims processing system, development of new benefit designs and programs, organizing the prior authorization process and management of the various vendor/customer relationships.

The Pharmacy Benefits Coordinator facilitates the operations of the Pharmacy Care Management department by acting as a departmental lead and /or project manager for assigned areas of responsibility.
*
This individual serves as an expert resource on related pharmacy benefit management issues to both departmental co-workers and others within the organization and as a key contact to related external customers and vendors.

Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED is required.
* Associate Degree or higher is preferred.
* Two years of pharmacy technician experience .
* One year of pharmacy benefit management or managed care experience.
* Good analytical skills, ability to manage complex spreadsheets and other software.
